I Am Whole
My very favorite go-to dish at Cafe Gratitude LA is I Am Whole. A macrobiotic grain bowl (choice of brown rice or quinoa or both; I always get quinoa), it's composed of homemade kimchi, sea palm, raw kale, shredded carrots, sprouts, the garlic-tahini sauce (also an option for I Am Fortified), and teriyaki almonds. The homemade kimchi is out-of-this-world delicious, spicy and tangy with a perfect texture. I Am Whole is filling, but not heavy, and leaves me feeling thoroughly nourished.
