Happy World Vegan Day!

As the lovely and talented VeggieGirl pointed out in someone else's comments section, today is World Vegan Day. Isn't it cool that there is such a thing? Now, if I only had time to make something special tonight to celebrate...

Too bad there are no groovy vegan events going on today in regards to this. You'd think in a city with as many vegans and veg options as L.A. that someone would have organized something for me to go pig out at...

Seriously...sometimes I'm surprised at the lack of vegan events we have in L.A. I mean, Boston & San Francisco have annual veg fests, why don't we?

Hehe I got the idea to try maple syrup on grains after watching the movie "Elf". If you think about it, we eat maple syrup on bread, and that's a grain... so why should it taste any worse on pasta? ;o)

I'm going to Whole Foods tomorrow, and you've inspired me to buy a box of quinoa pasta.
